battling bodmin moor

The Outdoor Education team have been busy with 3 days spent up on Bodmin Moor battling some difficult conditions:

Saturday – Ten Tors hopefuls continued their training with a 20km hike which included 50mph+ winds at the top of Brown Willy.

Sunday – Gold DofE students from year 12 tested their navigation and safety skills against some icy rain and bitter winds on the East Moor.

Monday – Year 13 Public Services students battled hail storms and more strong winds to summit Brown Willy as part of their expedition module.

Well done to the 55 students who took past and a huge thank you to the 12 staff who made these trips happen.
